About Us
Quorum Theatre Company was established in 1998 by Philip Ayckbourn and Judi Armstrong and is now welcomed by over 120 universités, lycées, collèges and adult learning centres in southern France each year. The purpose of the company is to assist English language teachers by presenting a play (in English) either within the school or at a nearby venue, at a non prohibitive cost. The tour commences in January and continues until April. We travel to villages, towns and cities from Nice to Bordeaux, often visiting areas more than once to offer a choice of performance date. The selected play is always highly visual, a comedy and one that contains possible themes for class discussion. The duration of the play itself is usually around 65 minutes. After the play there will be an opportunity for a question and answer session with the actors (in English). This allows the students a chance to ask the actors about the play, life in the theatre, the actor's training - or whatever they wish. We do our best to answer most questions.
